Jayne Merryman is an Enterprise Account Manager for Dell Technologies, a leader in IT industry for IT, Digital, Security and Workplace Transformation.
Jayne’s career began at General Motors, after graduating IU’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Marketing. Jayne embraces technology and has held various sales and marketing positions ranging from district sales manager, motorsports, incentives, marketing director to global account manager. She has been responsible for selling automotive systems to many of the large automotive OEMs such as Honda Motors, managed the North American Commercial Vehicle Market and has worked in the hybrid and electric motor environment. In the last few years Jayne’s career transformed from working in the automotive industry to working in the IT industry. This actually was a natural transformation because IT has always driven the automotive industry. No matter what the role has been the theme has remained the same: Jayne loves to drive new technology into the next product and is a valuable “connector”.
Jayne has an 11 year old daughter, Kathryn Grace, who also shares her passion in technology and sports and Disney, hence the two Disney quotes. Katie’s claim to fame in Carmel since kindergarten is stand-up comedy at her elementary talent show. Active in the Carmel Dads Club and on the board of the PTO, Jayne is high-energy, likes to run marathons, naturally curious and loves to travel. Jayne has run 9 marathons in Indianapolis, Chicago (3), Las Vegas, San Diego, Hawaii, Big Sur and NYC.
Early on in her career, Jayne realized she was the only woman in the room in countless meetings on amazing technology. Her wish for Women & Hi Tech is to educate the next generation of curiously smart young women to get involved in technology and shape the world. Jayne always encourages friends and coworkers to join this amazing group of women and you will often times seeing her volunteering at Women & Hi Tech STEM events.
