2018 Women & Hi Tech Professional Development Scholarship

Noelle King, Science Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher at St. Richard's Episcopal School

In her twenty-year career as a STEM educator, Noelle has inspired and guided fellow educators and students of all ages and socioeconomic statuses. Her creative, innovative approach to learning has had an extraordinary impact on STEM curriculum and initiatives. Her knowledge, joyous enthusiasm, and unwavering focus on the student experience have propelled her classroom to push the upper limits of educational possibilities.  

Noelle also volunteers as an education specialist, curriculum developer and teacher at Horizons’ at Saint Richard’s. This program empowers underserved Indianapolis Public School students in the community to continue the learning process during their summer break. Her commitment to community engagement and STEM education for underserved urban students was recently awarded an elected position on the Horizons National Board.  

Noelle’s commitment to the greater student community and her desire to provide all children better access to high quality STEM education is admirable, and outstanding. In fact, Noelle was also nominated for the 2018 Outstanding Educator in STEM award.
