Melissa Lavella

Melissa Lavella is currently a Process Improvement Engineer at Roche Diabetes Care, Inc. She supports their manufacturing organization which produces blood glucose test strips for the ACCU-CHEKĀ® product line. She also serves on a committee for Roche's Women's Leadership Initiative. Prior to joining Roche at the end of 2014, Melissa worked at Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis for over 6 years. She started as a Hardware Engineer in the Controls Engineering department, and ended as a technical Customer Services Manager, managing large scale projects for the industrial, aero-derivative gas turbine engine in Indianapolis. 

Melissa has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from Butler University. She is also a long time member of the Society of Women Engineers. 

When she's not at work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.  The three of them can usually be found in their Indianapolis backyard, tending to their flock of chickens.
