Women in tech has become one of the top subjects locally and nationally as tech companies and local communities work to address the persistent gender wage gap and the lack of diversity in leadership. While Indianapolis is the 4th best city for women in tech due to compensation and opportunity, there is still a ways to go in bridging the gap. There are several community groups working hard to encourage women to take the leap into tech and empower women to take leading roles in tech.
You're invited to the first ever event that brings together all of Indy's women in tech community groups to discuss the growing need to continue to work to advance women and tech in Indianapolis. Mayor Hogsett will kick off the event with opening remarks followed by a discussion from the founders of each organization and their perspective around today's environment in Indianapolis and the ways their community groups are working to advance women in tech.
This event is open to men and women alike who would like to learn more and discover how to get plugged in to help us snag the #1 spot in the nation for women in tech!
