In this ClickSide Chat, Shanniese Rice and Reva Mackey will discuss their passions for creative side hustles and talk about how they manage a busy schedule with a full time career, family, and a side business. Shanniese will also give holiday makeup tips and reveal her favorite makeup products.
Shanniese earned her Bachelor of Arts from IUPUI (2015), MBA in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University (2017), and a Doctorate of Healthcare Administration from Capella University (2021). In 2016, Shanniese began her IT career at Community Health Network. Starting as an Applications Analyst focused on the patient access and revenue cycle components of the Epic EMR system. In 2022, Shanniese was promoted to an IT Business Solutions Manager over the Women’s Product Line Specialty Applications. In this role, her responsibilities include leading the teams responsible for the IT functionality surrounding oncology, labor and delivery, and clinical inpatient orders.
Since 2014, she has owned her makeup artistry business, Beats by Shanniese. Most of her weekends are spent doing makeup for weddings, birthdays, proms, and any special event you can think of. Shanniese lives in Avon, Indiana, with her husband of 8 years, Greg, and their 6-year-old son Mason. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends in her free time.
Reva Mackey was born and raised in Gary, IN has lived in the Indianapolis area for the last 15 years. She is a 2007 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a major in Business Marketing. Reva also earned her Masters in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2013. She currently resides in Avon, IN with her husband of five years, Ian and their 4 year old daughter Brooklyn. Reva has worked professionally in a multitude of industries including Retail, Education, Healthcare and now Tech for one of the largest Workforce Management Technology companies, UKG as a Senior Solution Consultant for Public Sector customers. She has been a member of Women & Hi Tech since 2019 and is currently a member of the Membership Engagement committee. In addition to her full time work she also owns her own small business, RevaDiva Designs which she started in 2020 specializing in customized signage, gifts and accessories.
