Joan Soller, PE, Vice President, Pareto Advisors, LLC, consults with utility stakeholders about regulatory policy, shares insights, and teaches technical and leadership seminars. Her career in the electric utility industry includes managing and directing engineering, operations, planning, risk management, compliance, strategy, and regulatory work in corporate and non-profit organizations. Over the past 10 years, she was employed by Wabash Valley Power Alliance, Midcontinent Independent System Operator, and Indianapolis Power & Light Company, now known as AES-Indiana. Joan actively serves on the Board of the Community Foundation of Boone County and is a member of Women of Impact Boone County. She previously served as a Director on the Boards of Reliability First, Coburn Place Safe Haven, and WFYI.
Joan holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and is a licensed professional engineer in Indiana.
Joan and her husband, Michael, reside in Zionsville where they enjoy hiking, traveling, and visiting their three children and seven grandchildren in Indiana, Ohio, and Massachusetts. She also enjoys quilting, baking, and reading.
Joan is excited to foster collaboration across many hi-tech industries, building upon experiences in management, engagement in regional and national resource groups and mentoring relationships. She looks forward to forming new bonds and supporting women’s growth and development in STEM fields.
