Susan Vaughn, PMP & CB-PMO

Susan, a seasoned professional with over three decades of consulting and training experience, built her career specializing in project management consulting. After dedicating a decade to Crowe Chizek (now Crowe) consulting company, she transitioned in 2000 to a new chapter, founding her Project Management Consulting and Training company, fueled by a desire to do work she loved on her own terms. This move allowed her to achieve a better work-life balance while pursuing her family and career aspirations.
In 2000, Susan became a member of the newly established Women & Hi Tech organization, where she discovered a supportive community that resonated with her values. Since 2003, she has served as a board member, assuming the role of president. in 2008.
Susan’s latest passion is project management offices, training, and mentorship – a trifecta that capitalizes on her strengths. She collaborates closely with clients, tailoring programs to their specific needs, and meets clients where they are in their project management maturity.
She is an instructor for Purdue University's Project Management Essentials course, which she played a pivotal role in developing. Additionally, she is an Authorized Training Partner Instructor with the Project Management Institute (PMI). In the early 2000s, Susan served as an instructor for Boston University Corporate Education Center and ESI International, teaching their project management certification programs.
Susan's educational background includes a BS in Business with a specialization in computer information systems, earned from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Baseline PMO Consultant (CB-PMO).
Susan is an empty nester with two amazing daughters who also attended Indiana University. She and her daughters have enjoyed watching IU become a football school. Susan lives in the Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis and loves all the fun restaurants and live music it offers. Susan's real passion is travel — she's been to all 50 states and 29 countries.
