In 2000, Susan became a member of the newly established Women & Hi Tech organization, where she discovered a supportive community that resonated with her values. Since 2003, she has served as a board member, assuming the role of president in 2008.
Susan, a seasoned professional with over three decades of consulting and training experience, embarked on her journey specializing in project management within the consulting realm. After dedicating a decade to a prominent consulting company, she transitioned in 2000 to a new chapter, founding her Project Management Consulting and Training company, fueled by her passion for project management. This new direction helped enable her to achieve a better work-life balance while pursuing her family and career aspirations.
Susan’s latest passion is directing her focus towards project management offices, training, and mentorship – a trifecta that encapsulates her profound passion. She collaborates closely with clients, tailoring programs to their specific needs, and meets them at their unique points in the project management maturity spectrum.
She an instructor for Purdue University’s Project Management Essentials course which she played a pivotal role in the development of this course. Additionally, she is an Authorized Training Partner Instructor with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
In the early 2000s, Susan served as an instructor for Boston University Corporate Education Center and ESI Internation, teaching their project management certification programs.
Susan's educational background includes a BS in Business with a specialization in computer information systems, earned from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Baseline PMO Consultant (CB-PMO).
