Ali Hromis

“I learned to always take on things I’d never done before. Growth and comfort do not coexist.”  Ginni Rometty

Ali Hromis is a Release Manager for the Marketing Cloud at Salesforce.com. Founded in 1999, Salesforce pioneered the revolutionary idea of replacing traditional desktop CRM software with CRM in the cloud, making it accessible anytime from anywhere. Today, the innovative cloud platform is the world’s #1 CRM solution.

Ali graduated from Valparaiso University, Summa Cum Laude in 2011 with degrees in Marketing and Sports Management.  Upon graduating, she moved to Indianapolis where she earned the distinguished honor of joining the Orr Fellowship program. In addition to full-time employment with one of Indy’s premier IT teams at Apparatus, Ali participated in preeminent programming that encouraged introspection, skill development, business acumen, philanthropic participation, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Since then, Ali has held increasingly challenging roles in mostly tech-focused Indianapolis firms. She served as an Associate Project Manager at the State of Indiana Department of Revenue, where she was an instrumental member of the team responsible for implementing a matured identity check program to prevent issuing state funds on behalf fraudulent returns. The program led to hundreds of millions of dollars in saved revenue in the first year alone.

She later progressed to a Senior Consultant at Allegient.  At Allegient, Ali led a team of junior analysts to ensure their career advancement and growth while consulting Fortune 500 clients on business analysis, project management, and software development best practices. She expanded her skillset to include configuration and implementation of the Salesforce platform while consulting at Galvin Technologies. Most recently, Ali served as the Director of IT for Project Lead the Way, a non-profit focused on increasing the accessibility and quality of education for evolving global economic skills.

Ali has earned several professional certifications, including ITIL Continual Service Improvement, Professional Scrum Master, Certified Competency in Business Analysis, and Certified Salesforce Administrator.

In her free time, Ali enjoys traveling, cooking, biking, yoga, and enjoying her home in downtown Indianapolis with her husband Andrew.

In her six years in the Indianapolis tech scene, Ali noticed Women & Hi Tech consistently outperforming other community groups.  She is specifically impressed and encouraged by the quality of events and people, and significant community recognition, awareness, and support of Women & Hi Tech’s mission. Ali is passionate about encouraging women to pursue studies and careers in STEM, and she knows that she has the best opportunity of doing so by supporting what Women & Hi Tech has built over the last decade.

Ali hopes to recognize, highlight, and encourage future outstanding achievements of women in STEM in her role of Leading Light Awards Director.
