Please join us for this members-only event to celebrate our collective accomplishments for 2021 and welcome the New Year.
Hors d'oeuvre and refreshments will be served as we enjoy entertainment from Goldie and Friends and deepen our connections with one another during this holiday season.
This year we will support two worthy fellow non-profits with the proceeds from our event: Dayspring Center and Dress for Success. Learn more about these organizations below. We will announce the total amount raised at the end of the night. Interested members and non-members may purchase a donation ticket to make a $20 donation to these organizations without attending the event.
Right now, we are anticipating that this event will be mask-free for all vaccinated attendees, but this is subject to change depending on Marion County health department requirements at the time of the event. On the day of the event, attendees will be asked complete a Covid Screening Questionnaire. The Questionnaire is intended to help prevent the spread of Covid and protect all guests. Persons who have positive responses to the Questionnaire will not be permitted to attend the event. You may preview the Questionnaire here.
In addition, this year, we invite you to participate in our first members’ gift exchange. To participate, purchase and wrap or bag a $15-$20 gift. No pressure: only those who want to participate will drop a gift at the registration table and secure a gift ticket. During the event, attendees who have a ticket will be called to pick from the available presents one at a time. We hope you will participate, find and meet your gifter to make this networking event extra-special.
Finally, we will have a special recognition of our phenomenal volunteers and announce the Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient. When you register, be sure to list a person you feel deserves special recognition for her or his volunteer efforts for Women & Hi Tech in 2021.
About Dayspring Center and Dress for Success:
Dayspring Center:
Dayspring Center provides emergency shelter, clothing, and three nourishing meals a day for homeless families with children in central Indiana. Families turn to us as a last resort; some to escape domestic abuse, others have experienced financial collapse, medical problems, or other crises that caused them to lose their home.
Dayspring effectively works to combat and prevent family homelessness by first, meeting their most immediate needs for food and shelter, then working with each family to address the issues that led them to their homelessness.
When it comes to homelessness, results are what matter most. 70% of residents who complete the program at Dayspring Center move directly into permanent housing.
Dress for Success:
The mission of Dress for Success Indianapolis is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
The purpose of our organization is to provide women with the supportive services they need to make life transitions that result in achieving self-sufficiency and socioeconomic advancement.
Three programs exist to support our mission: Suits for Success, Career Development Center and Professional Women’s Group.
