Kayci graduated in 2010 from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Convention, and Event Management and a minor in Art History. Since graduation, Kayci utilized her education within events and brand marketing first at a global animal pharmaceutical company and then at a global oil and solvents company.
Kayci is currently enjoying her role with Authenticx, an Indiana-based software company founded in 2018 that aims to transform the healthcare customer experience through its conversational intelligence platform. As the Growth Marketing Manager, Kayci has built Authenticx’s events and paid digital marketing strategy from the ground floor where she drives Authenticx’s platform of bringing the customer’s actual voice to the leaders to help them make decisions about their customer’s experiences.
As a marketing professional, Kayci’s desire to participate in Women & Hi Tech stems from her passion of building a brighter future for women through building awareness of the different opportunities within STEM fields. As a first-generation college student and graduate coming from small town Indiana, the menu of career options and opportunities were limited. However, Kayci’s career has introduced her to many driven women with STEM based roles and backgrounds. Kayci pushes others to learn and broaden their horizon of the many career opportunities and paths that women can take with their educational background.
As a board member of Women & Hi Tech, Kayci seeks to utilize her education and experience to develop an event strategy that builds awareness for Women & Hi Tech, provide continuous education opportunities to its members, and advance its mission to change the landscape for women in STEM.
Kayci was born and raised in Jasper, Indiana, and now makes her home in Mooresville, IN with her two kids and their golden retriever, Marley. Her hobbies include hiking, crafting with the kids, traveling, reading, and painting.
